India celebrates its 78th Independence Day tomorrow. The day recalls the historical moment of gaining freedom in 1947 after 89 years of British rule. On this day, we remember our freedom fighters who gave their lives away and languished in jails for years to break the shackles of British slavery.

As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, the government of India has announced the theme for this year is Viksit Bharat or Developed India. It symbolizes the vision of a developed nation by 2047 and reflects the government’s commitment to transform India. The year 2047 will be the 100th year of India’s freedom from colonial rule.

flag is being sold at post offices across the country under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 3.0’. The Government of India launched the ‘Har Ghar
Tiranga’ campaign two years ago to encourage all citizens to hoist the national flag in their homes. The flags are available on “https://harghartiranga.com/” from August 1 to August 13. The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from August 9.
