Maine Pyar Kiya Re-Release: Salman Khan and Bhagyashree’s blockbuster romantic drama film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ is all set to re-release in theatres on its 35th anniversary. After its release in 1989, the lead characters of Prem (played by Salman) and Suman (played by Bhagyashree) became household names, and the duo is coming back on the big screen to win the hearts of the audiences.
Announcing the post, the makers wrote, ‘It’s time to relive their loving friendship as Maine Pyar Kiya will re-release on 23 August 2024.
Rajshri Productions, wrote on social media, ”It’s time to relive their ‘pyar bhari dosti’ as #MainePyarKiya will re-release on 23rd August 2024 in select @pvrpictures and @cinepolisindia theatres.”
Bhagyashree also re-shared the announcement post on her Instagram Stories. Soon after Rajshri Productions made the announcement, fans poured in their reactions in the comments section. ”Thank you so much for the re-release,” one user wrote. ”Why hasn’t it been re-released worldwide?” another wrote.
The film is a romantic drama that tells the love story of a young boy and girl who become friends and later fall in love with each other. The boy is from a rich family and the girl’s family is not so strong financially, which leads to trouble in getting married. The boy leaves his father’s house and tries to earn money on his own so that he can still live with his love Suman.
Apart from Salman and Bhagyashree, the film also stars Mohnish Bahl, Reema Lagoo, Alok Nath, Laxmikant Berde and Ajit Vachani in pivotal roles.
